A waiting game - a post about money... or lack of

VENT -
Seems I'm always waiting whether it be on child support, flex plan reimbursement, reciepts to submit to the flex plan for reimbursement, money still owed to me from my tenant for security deposit and pro-rated rent... Due to MY waiting, other's have had to wait too... such as the water company who came and shut off our water this morning. Luckily, my tenant who owes me money, was there and she paid the bill (+ $20 for them coming out and turning it off then right back on) so that lowered the amount she still owes me...
Gracie is also waiting... on new shoes. Her current pair are being held together with tape. It's not a pretty site and according to her, they aren't comfortable in the least.
To add to my problems, the tenant's dryer - provided by me - quit tumbling. Super handyman dad to the rescue! Also, my hot water heater was leaking and it caused the floor to buckle. Again, Super handyman dad to the rescue... AGAIN! For now, no leaks but the floor repair is gonna have to wait.
And... my car is getting repaired... again (and Super dad to the rescue again... No money for the repair, so dad's gonna pay it and I'll pay him back... And I WILL cuz I HATE knowing I owe someone money... too bad those who owe ME don't feel that way)... Anyway, the story on the car is... when the extended warranty expired, the gas gauge went haywire. It can show a full tank when it's about empty.. sometimes it'll show it's about empty then suddenly as if there is an invisible man filling the car as I drive down the road, it's full again. So I've been relying on the "tripometer" to know when I need gas. I'll fill her up, set the trip and then when I've driven 300 - 325 miles, I'll fill her up again and re-set the trip and do it all over again. Well, the odometer/tripometer is digital and wouldn't ya know it, the LED screen went out so... No way of knowing when I need gas. The cheaper of the 2 options (fix gas gauge or LED screen) turned out to be having the dash replaced. Oh Joy!
So that's what's up with me. Hope all is well with YOU!!! - the maybe 2 readers I have :)

Crabby old Lady

For the last 25 minutes, I've been sitting at my desk at work getting madder by the minute. See, my office is located between a local HS and its football field. When school gets out, all the football players park right outside my office window, blast crap music and change into their uniforms... On the street... outside my window. Well, crabby old lady that I'm becoming had enough. I stomped out of my office, down the hall and outside where I YELLED "Turn that shit off! I'm trying to work in here!!" pointing at my office. WHAT THE HECK was that?!?! I'm still in shock that I did that, but... IT WORKED!!

First day of Second Grade

Today was the first day of the 2008-2009 school year for sunshine's school district. I can't believe she's in Second Grade already. When I said to her "I can't believe my baby is in Second Grade" she responded with a roll of the eyes "Mom, you're being ridiculous" LOL
Here is our yearly pic for this year at the bus stop (in her friends M & M's front yard)

I'm sick

It's been a while since I've posted... Just pure laziness on my part. Been having issues with TF, if you can imagine that... He just called and said "the 11th at 5" meaning that's when he wants to start his week visit. He is supposed to give me 30 days notice. He didn't. She has her 2nd Grade dental exam on the 13th and does NOT want him taking her. She cried when we discussed that he would have to take her if that's when he chose to take her. She doesn't wanna go. I don't want her to go.. Who knows who will be watching her. I'm sick

Lemme back up... here is a letter I sent him and my (former) atty and the judge which prompted his call just now:

"I’m writing you (and cc-ing Jeff **** and Judge ********) because you won’t answer when I call or return my call when I ask you to do so. It is utterly impossible to co-parent with you when you refuse to communicate with me.
As it is, you did not give 30 days notice for your week visit with Gracie this summer. I wrote you numerous times starting in the spring asking you to please let me know when / if you would exercise the allowed visitation (and for reimbursement for doctor, dentist and hospital bills). After continually being ignored, it was assumed you would not be exercising the visit (or paying me back what the court has ordered you to pay). Then on July 5, 2008 you screamed on my voice mail “oh yeah, this is my 30 days notice” (along with ordering me to “pick the little girl up in the street” rather than to pull into your driveway) but you neglected to give dates. I again wrote you, sending a handwritten note with Gracie, asking for dates. You refuse to communicate with me and I will not have you sending verbal messages through Gracie. So, unless you can calmly discuss with me spending time with Gracie by August 8th, there will be no week visit this year.
One last thing, PLEASE, if you are too busy to spend time with Gracie when it’s your weekend, do not send her off with some woman “far from daddy’s house without a car seat” so she can swim with people she has never met. I’d be happy to keep her instead."

So... as I was saying... I'm sick. I'll be re-instating a cell phone for her so I can be in contact with her... I've left a message (because he refuses to answer the phone when I call) that he needs to call me because we have things to discuss about the visit such as her dental appt and the fact that she WILL have a phone and that we will speak AT LEAST every other day.

Ugh... I'm just sick. He cannot be trusted to properly care for her and the damn judge doesn't care... "dad's have rights" and I agree but first they should have to prove they can handle being a parent which he has NOT. He was ordered to take parenting classes YEARS ago... still hasn't... still gets the normal dad's rights.
