I'm a copy cat...

in that I stole this from another blog...

Your rainbow is intensely shaded blue, black, and yellow.

What is says about you: You are a powerful person. You appreciate optimism. You're good at getting people to like you. You share hobbies with friends and like trying to fit into their routines.

For those of us in IL

I got this in an email... don't know where it came from but considering what our IL Gov has been up to... being in the nationwide spotlight, I thought I'd share.... enjoy

Have you seen the new 2008 State Christmas Carol?
To the tune of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"

Get packin’, Rod Blagojevich
The state’s in disarray
The Tribune wants you unemployed
At least by Christmas Day.
The TV pundits want your head
Could there be pay to play?
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy
Save Illinois!
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

Good riddance Rod Blagojevich
Your Elvis look’s inane,
The Senate’s mad, so’s Lisa’s dad.
You drive us all insane.
Our transit’s broke, the state’s a joke,
The Tollway’s one big pain.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy
Save Illinois!
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

Good luck old Rod Blagojevich
The feds have quite a place.
Fitzgerald’s poked his nose around
And if he has a case,
George Ryan’s moving stuff around
Creating extra space.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy
Save Illinois!
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

GGgggrrrrr... just gotta vent

I hate December... I hate christmas. I'm SO broke it's not even funny... not that being broke is ever funny... I'm just SO frusterated. TF has been telling me for close to 3 weeks how he is going to pay "$5, 6, maybe 700" in support and it keeps getting put off. So and So backed out of the deal (supposedly TF is supposed to sell off some motorcycles or parts or something) WHATEVER!! In the meantime, there ain't gonna be christmas at our house if I don't get some damn money soon. And on that note...

THANK YOU DAD!!! You're the best!!! I know I already still owe you for the remainder of the carpeting laid in the rental and probably for other things too, yet you're still willing to help me out... your damn near 38 year old daughter who shouldn't have to get any help from anyone but...

Back to TF. It's not like he's ordered to pay any HUGE amount of money in child support. Just $250/month in support, $42/month for half of what I pay for G's health, dental, etc ins and $50/ towards back support owed for a total of $342 a month or $4,104 year. As of RIGHT NOW, he's paid $2,822 this year... making him $1,282 behind... FOR THIS YEAR ALONE.

Ok... I'm done bitching for now... off to have lunch with the munchkin (G... Sunshine....) as she is Student of the Week this week.

Thanks again, dad and BITE ME TF!!!

Have a good weekend

Out of the mouth of my babe

Sunshine is BEGGING for a sibling... BEGGING!!! "Why can't you just have a baby mommy?" She says she needs a sibling to stay up with her and look out her window on Christmas Eve to see if Santa andthe reindeers really fly. "Why can't you just give me a baby sister or brother?!?!?"

We had a 15 min discussion consisting of her begging me to have a baby; her telling me I must not love her very much since I won't have a baby.

She said "Why did you buy me a twin bed if I don't have a twin?!" I told her that my bed is a queen but I'm not a queen. LOL

She also anounced last night that she is thankful for life. Aawww... then she said "Ya know, if it wasn't for pilgrams and God, we wouldn't be here."

I ROCK!!!

Warning... Self-Brag ahead

I just removed and replaced my stupid front porch motion - jump up and down in front of frantically waving your arms Hoping it would turn on - light that I've HATED for the 7+ years I've lived here ALL BY MYSELF!! No man needed. Hell, no instructions needed.

Shut up, no way! you say.... WAY!!! I ROCK!!! I kick ASS!!! Can I get a WOO-HOO!!!! Thank you very much!!

I should be a contractor/remodelor. "Can she fix it? YES she can!!" She's Mom the Builder.

Now I just need money for all the projects I want to do. I've re-done the kitchen cabinets (not perfect but I did it!!) I've removed wallpaper (pain in the ASS) and did a.... can't recall the name of it Treatment on the walls and painted them among other things. Next up, new kitchen floor and countertops, paint the livingroom and hall, one wall in my room, probably G's room too.... New carpet and then A NEW HOUSE!!! That's right folks, I'm done with the lack of space in the place. I WILL have a new place by 2011 at the latest.

Have a GREAT Weekend Y'all

It's over

and I'm really sad about it, but... life must go on. This single mom must continue to trudge on struggling to raise my precious girl.
I think the age difference was too much... and we are just in different places. (As I've been so rudely told - NOT by Trumpet Boy) I'm pushing 40 and he.. well, he was barely in his 20's. It was fantastic while it lasted and I'll truly miss him and who knows... maybe some day...
I know I don't blog much but I'm feeling a BIG break coming on. So, my maybe 3 readers, I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving and I hope to be back before Christmas.

I'm sad

Things with Trumpet Boy started out with a BANG and they seem to be fizzling out. We discussed that things don't feel like they did and we're not sure why but... I told him basically that I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet and he agreed. I also told him that I know he's busy so I'm going to back off and leave things in his hands... that I hope we can figure out what is "off" and get past it... in the meantime, it hurts.

1. When I put a nice smelling lotion on, I feel kinda sexy
3. My favorite thing to cook is chocolate chip cookies.
4. Relaxing on a beach is something I LOVE to do.... but don't get to NEARLY enough
5. That’s the thing I love most about my job is the flexibility.
6. Some things that come out of my child's mouth makes me think to myself, what the heck?
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I plan on working on the garage, tomorrow my plans include my nephew's birthday party, and Sunday, I want to find out I won the lottery and can retire... guess I should play the lottery, huh?

What's up lately....

Today is Veteran's Day... it's also my nephew's 8th birthday... and NO SCHOOL day.
Thank a Vet, Happy B-day Bubba and CALGON... Take me away!!!

Sunshine and I started our week yesterday with a "I spent the weekend with my dad and I'm clingy and nothing is going to make me happy and I don't like any of my clothes and....." It went on and on. Then last night was Show Stoppers show chior practice and she wasn't happy about the car pooling arrangement. She is seriously making me CRAZY today.

I'm wanting to find the floor in her room... this picture is AFTER we moved a few boxes

from her room into the livingroom to go through them and purge.

I should know... NO purging can take place with the munchkin here. Now we just have a bigger mess than before. The "plan" is/was to clean up her room, and then trade dressers. Looks like it's another job for when she's at TF's... only thing is, when she's there, I like to concentrate on ME and enjoying my time on my own.
****************************************************************
This past weekend, I spent with weekend with a new guy. (I'll call him TB for Trumpet Boy cuz he plays the trumpet...and the piano and guitar). So TB & I went to a local bar to see a local band. We got a little drunk... as evident by my hair. I think alcohol effects my hairspray. The more I have to drink, the worse my hair looks.

Anyway, we parked at an apartment complex across from the bar... which is apparently "private property" and when the bar closed, my car was gone. I think what happened was TB went out to my car to get his trumpet (to sit in with the band) and someone saw that he came from the bar and went right back to the bar so it was obvious we weren't at the apts cuz I've parked there before without getting towed. Anyway, we got a ride back to my place from the singer in the band and then.... I left my purse in his truck!
Long story short, it was a very expensive night... cost me $210 to get my car back. But, I throughly enjoyed our weekend and am looking forward to spending more time with him.
